We were delighted to be approached by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and awarded the fit-out of this unique exhibition at the Etihad Museum in Dubai.
The Dubai Collection is a new initiative launched by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (DCAA) in partnership with Art Dubai.
It is one of many initiatives supporting DCAA’s vision for the future of culture in Dubai. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the Dubai Collection is the first institutional art collection in the city and for the city. It aims to inspire and educate those who live and visit Dubai and support the thriving arts sector and all the creative professionals who call Dubai home.
Our scope was to provide the fit-out of the exhibition within the temporary gallery at the Etihad Museum.
A room of a 400m2, the design was a series clusters that provided the space for the various artworks to be displayed in their own unique chapters such as Abstract Variations, Societies in Transition and evoking the Environment.
In the centre of the room is a large wall that housed a gesture activated interactive.
The interactive screen provided digital images of the art pieces along with detailed descriptions of the pieces and their artists.
The exhibition consists of over 50 artworks of a of 20th Century Arab Art including paintings by Dia Azzawi, Baya Mahieddine, Abdul Qader Al Rais and Fateh Moudarres.
It was a pleasure working with all the stakeholders on this wonderful project and we wish Dubai Culture and Arts Authority every success with this exhibition.
