34th Annual Exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society ‘Noah’s Ark’

How do you showcase Bahrain’s vibrant art scene?

In 2016, for the first time, the Annual General Exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society showcased simultaneously in two different locations in the UAE.

Client: Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi
Event: 34th Annual Exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society ‘Noah’s Ark’
Date: 2016
Venue: Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi

Projex were commissioned to deliver the fit-out at the Atrium in Manarat Al Saadiyat – an arts and culture centre dedicated to developing awareness and understanding of art and culture.

This year’s theme was Noah’s Ark – a symbol of the coming together of races, cultures and religions that reflects the UAE’s own model.

An impressive selection of fine art, sculptures and video arts depicted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s deep-rooted social and cultural legacy, reflecting the vitality of the Kingdom’s modern art scene.

The resulting exhibition was surprising, stimulating and diverse.

Projex built the plinths, the frames for the artwork and the walls, and delivered a unique black box for an artist to host an array of small clay figurines as portraits of herself – for the public to walk on and crush.
