Mzllah Café, Fujairah

How do you capture the warmth of Arabic Coffee hospitality?

Mzllah Coffee shop and roastery is an interior fit-out awarded to Projex by the company, Leopards Pots based in Fujairah.

Client: Leopards Pots
Date: 2021
Venue: Mzllah Café, Fujairah

The design of the coffee house was created by Twenty Seven Twelve a Fujairah based creative company and by their creative director, Carlos Gris.

The Mzllah Coffee house is situated in the centre of Fujairah.

The design was inspired by local materials such as the Emirati clay applied walls complemented by rich dark meranti wood cladding around the bar and glass frames. Other finishes include a floor finish in beige micro-topping and terracotta tiles in the washrooms. The bar and tables had a custom made finish in Corian that provided a subtle finish to the dark wood meranti dowels.

The project was fully turnkey and was initiated from a shell and core space.

The project included sourcing and sampling all the material for the designer and the client. All the other features of the coffee house provided additional ambiance to the interior that gave it a rich feeling and presence and an environment where people can socialize and be part of it.

In addition to the coffee house there is a central roastery that produces the coffee that is served at the coffee house as well as a shop for external customers.

In addition to the fit-out works, Projex managed all the fit-out submissions and approvals with the Municipality and Civil Defense.

The entire project took 3 months from submissions and approvals to the completion and hand-over to the client.
