Following a series of successful gallery installations for TCA, Projex were approached and subsequently commissioned to deliver perhaps the most exciting gallery to date: ‘Seeing through light’.
Manarat Al Saadiyat means ‘the place of enlightenment’ and is a 15,400 sqm artistic venue within the Saadiyat Cultural District in Abu Dhabi. ‘Seeing Through Light’; is the first major exhibition for the future Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, expected to open in Saadiyat Cultural District in 2017. ‘Seeing Through Light’ will introduce the future museum’s curatorial vision and expectation through a theme based collection. Comprising of 19 artworks acquired specifically for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s collection, the exhibition examines the theme of light as a primary aesthetic principal in art.

Depth & Variety
Working closely with both the US based curator and TCA cultural team, Projex worked around the clock to deliver the exhibition smoothly for a public opening Pre Abu Dhabi Art.
Projex took responsibility for the overall production and installation of the exhibition held in Gallery 1, Manarat Al Saadiyat taking in the art piece plinths, gallery walls, flooring and lighting.
In addition Projex worked closely with the artists in an advisory role regarding the hanging and placing of art pieces, which resulted in an innovative curatorial success with depth and variety.
