British Airways (the UK’s flag carrying airline) took centre stage at Taste of Dubai, the UAE’s most prestigious and high profile food and drink festival, now in its 8th year. Held at Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai’s award winning venue, taste of Dubai not only unites restaurants and suppliers but has a whole delicious agenda for its 27000+ visitors. The festival features a line up of fine dining restaurants from across Dubai, master classes from renowned celebrity chefs and outstanding live music and activities to ignite the visitors’ senses.
British Airways, who are Taste of Dubai’s official VIP lounge partner, approached Projex for the second consecutive year, to build an impressive VIP lounge to surpass previous years’ success in serving their 3000+ high calibre guests – mainly consisting of Dubai’s VIP socialites.

British Airways required a 297 sqm VIP lounge to live up to the calibre and expectations of its guests. In keeping with British Airways image Projex were tasked with creating a business lounge environment within an existing tent structure. We provided a clean white image with very British colourful flowers and BA branded imaging was displayed. This year we partitioned the tent into two, just for one of the days to cater for a VVIP lounge.
A momentous entrance was achieved by building two inverted, mocked up aeroplane tails. Inside was designed with sophistication and elegance, to fit in with the guests.
The Back bar measured 12 meters and the front panels were backlit to give more focus on the bar once the evening drew in.
Stylish but comfortable garden furniture was used for the area outside and a very English garden feel was portrayed with picketed fencing between the garden and tent. A stage was erected as a platform for the first class entertainment.
