Highlight

Considering the volume of space, innovative visions and advanced technologies along with the importance of the attendees this was a very sophisticated and exciting brief for Projex to deliver. This year’s scope included over 3000sqm of office, media, and speaker rooms built into the car park of the venue, 2 x 400 seat auditoriums, a new space entitled the Edge of Government and again the Future Museum, which was the highlight of the event.

The car park was dressed with walls, and ceilings to provide a fully functioning Media Hub where 200 international Journalists could work on their reports from the days event. This space was backed up with interview rooms, media briefing theaters, catering and offices for the Prime Ministers and executive office staff, along with Speakers rooms, and even a Spa area for VIP’s.

Ambitious

The Edge of Government was a new addition to the Government Summit which highlighted the latest technology that will be adopted by future government entities. Encompassing almost a 1000 sqm this feature was a complex build showcasing the cutting edge technology of the near future.
The Future Museum returned again this year, even bigger and better than before. Entitled “Machinic Life” this space explored how humans will interact with robotics and technology in the future. An extremely ambitious build, Projex delivered the entire fit-out for the area, including a futuristic Spa area, encompassing 8 different zones, linked together and

made from stretched fabric, and a room that was made entirely of facetted fibreglass panels that had been given a chrome finish to create a mirrored cave. A hit with all who visited, including HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who posed for photos inside the Museum for the next day’s papers.
